Blasted Mechanism is a Portuguese of alternative rock , composed band for the Karkov members (voice), Valdjiu (bambuleco, kalachakra), Ary (low), Syncron (battery), Winga (percussion, didgeridoo) and Zymon (guitar, cites, keyboard keys). Although centered in the rock, its music appeals to some electronics elements.
Blasted Mechanism had not been “servant”, but “invented” in 1995, for Valdjiu and Karkov, as a different band in the Portuguese musical specter - music was (as still it is) the main vehicle, but, image and attitude have been the favorite factors of one project artistic that if auto define as music of the world touched for beings of another world.
The strong and fancy image, the artistic and musical concept wrinkled and the ideological proximity with the vast eastern culture had been casting in a cauldron that it attracted and it public for the Blasted Mechanism. If they are not the best band, with more fans, are, of the certainty, most original of the last years and arrive now with the new work, “Sound in Light/Light in Sound”, more than celebrating one decade of existence of “more incredible project that already it stepped on the Portuguese places”.
